Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Performance Engineer in Minneapolis, MN.
Key Responsibilities
To lead the Data Management Performance Team and provide real-time troubleshooting to resolve application performance issues, provide performance expertise to database and application teams through code optimization and performance monitoring analysis. Support and enhance Ameriprise's SQLMetrics application to collect and provide reporting on application performance data. Provide expertise to database development and engineering teams in the deployment of new features and functionality with a specific focus on large and highly utilized database systems. Remote work permitted 2 days per week. #LI-DNI.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, plus 8 years of progressively responsible experience working with relational database systems with expertise on SQL Server and Oracle, as well as AWS cloud databases and managed databases. 8 years of experience collating and analyzing server / database resource usage, understanding database query wait types to identify areas of potential performance contention; writing, refactoring, and optimizing popular relation database languages including T/SQL and PL/SQL and popular scripting / programming languages including PowerShell and Python. Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $141,898 - $154,200 a year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
