Senior IT Project Manager (App Dev/Automotive) Location Torrance, CA (Hybrid with 60% or more being remote)
Contract Duration 12 months

We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to who will support one or more Application Development projects for our client's Automobile Sales and Logistics area. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage multiple projects.
  • Forecast, plan, and manage budget/schedule to ensure project is on track.
  • Organize and facilitate IT/Business meetings and workshops.
  • Develop business cases and document project goals, required tasks and resources.
  • Create and manage change requests, test plans and training material.
  • Report on project status (weekly, monthly, quarterly and J-Events).
  • Create project and upper level management presentations.
  • Analyze and manage project risks/issues.
  • Create SOWs and manage vendors.
  • Assign and manage project tasks/resources.
  • Coordinate with other contributing areas in the enterprise.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • 8+ years managing Application Development projects.
  • 10+ years of IT work experience.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry.
  • Business System Analyst or application development experience is a plus.
  • Experience serving as a SAFe Agile and Scrum Master experience is a must.
  • Well versed in developing business cases and documenting project goals, required tasks and resources.
  • Create and manage change requests, test plans and training material.
  • Experience creating project and upper level management presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Expertise in Risk Management and Change Management.
  • Skilled in creating SOWS and managing vendors. .
  • Ability to manage a hybrid environment of Agile and Waterfall development.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines across the enterprise.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Clarity/Open Workbench and MS Project, MS Office.
  • Skilled in creating MS PowerPoint presentations.
  • Exudes a positive attitude & works well in autonomy and ambiguity.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
