Job Title: AWS Architect
Location: Deerfield, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Overview:
Zion Clouds is seeking a highly skilled and certified AWS Architect to join our team full-time in Deerfield, IL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting up AWS environments, engaging directly with clients, and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS environments
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver cloud solutions
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations and deployments
- Ensure best practices in cloud security, performance, and cost optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture
- AWS Certification is mandatory (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Experience in customer-facing roles or client engagement
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native services
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools in AWS (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
