Job Details

System One is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with expertise in software and hardware testing for a long-term opportunity in Overland Park, KS. This role requires a strong background in RF testing, integration, verification, and validation, with the ability to develop test plans and procedures from requirements. This is a highly visible customer-facing position.
Responsibilities:
  • Test & Integration: Conduct module, program, and unit testing for individual software components.
  • Test Management: Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and documentation from requirements.
  • Test Execution & Results Analysis: Perform software and hardware tests, analyze results, and prepare reports to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
  • Tool Development: Develop or deploy software tools to support test activities (management, design, execution, results checking).
  • Customer Interaction: Providing technical expertise and presenting test findings to justify product performance.
  • Documentation: Write formal test reports for review by stakeholders
  • Test Equipment: Identify and use required test equipment (e.g., RF analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in test, integration, verification, and validation (both hardware and software).
  • Proficiency in RF testing, including high-powered RF analyzers (e.g., FIELDFOX) and other test equipment (such as Oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, multimeters)
  • Strong experience with test automation, integration & verification, and validation & acceptance.
  • Familiarity with Linux and other relevant programming languages (e.g., MATLAB).
  • Ability to develop test plans and test procedures based on requirements.
  • Familiarity with air traffic management, surveillance systems, or radar systems preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed within the US.
