Job Details

Title: Business Systems Analyst

Client: State of New York

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 24 Months

Work Hours: 40 hrs/week

Description

Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability.

Required Skills

  • 84+ months: Candidate can provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
  • 84 months experience facilitating meeting with users to identify & gather business requirements
  • 84 months experience documenting functional requirement, business rules & complex security requirements
  • 84 months experience in writing test plans & cases and performing unit & regression testing.
  • 84 months experience with PL/SQL writing packages, stored procedures and triggers.
  • 60 months experience with SharePoint writing and maintaining team/project documentation.
  • Bachelor s Degree

Responsibilities

1.Work with OCFS staff to document the requirements for the system.

2.Facilitate meetings with OCFS staff.

3.Create detailed screen mock-ups to document the UI and user interface.

4.Write detailed use cases and business flows.

5.Work in coordination with a team of developers to implement the requirements.

6.Perform unit testing and document all defects.

7.Work with business customers to ascertain appropriate help, training, and executive reporting requirements as needed.
