Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems in a high-performance enterprise environment. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with PySpark and AWS cloud services, working onsite with cross-functional engineering teams in either Boston, MA or Richmond, VA.

Required Skills & Experience


  • Strong expertise with PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including:

    • AWS Glue
    • EC2
    • Lambda

  • Experience building, debugging, and optimizing backend data pipelines and services
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in either Boston, MA or Richmond, VA

  • Java

Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed data pipelines
  • Build and optimize ETL workflows using PySpark and AWS Glue
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure using EC2 and Lambda
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable systems
  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across backend services
  • Ensure best practices in cloud architecture, security, and data processing
