Who You Are:
At the Analyst-level, you will be expected to independently and proactively contribute ideas, recommendations, and solutions for the Human Resources department that ensure a positive employee experience and alignment with business objectives. You will bring a high level of emotional intelligence, discretion and confidence to every interaction across all levels of the organization, balancing complex employee dynamics with organizational goals. You are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day operations of the HR department, focusing on a broad range of HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role ensures a positive workplace culture and helps align HR practices with business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist recruiting team with scheduling and conducting interviews.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding processes for all employees and contractors (remote and HQ).
Benefits & Compensation:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
- Liaise with benefits providers and coordinate open enrollment.
- Help administer payroll changes and compensation updates.
- Conduct monthly benefit audits.
Immigration Case Management:
- Collaborate with our legal team to manage all immigration processes.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Support conflict resolution efforts and assist in investigations as needed.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Compliance & Policy Administration:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies.
- Assist in audits and maintain accurate employee records.
Training & Development:
- Support training initiatives and assist in coordinating employee development programs.
- Track training records and monitor completion rates.
HR Systems & Reporting:
- Maintain HRIS (ADP WorkForce Now) data and generate regular HR reports.
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity in all HR systems.
Offboarding:
- Manage the offboarding process for all employees and contractors (remote and HQ).
Payroll:
- Assist in coordinating with the finance team to ensure all information is updated for each bi-weekly payroll.
- Various other tasks and duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR generalist or related role, preferably in a small to mid-size, fast-paced professional environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); Proficiency or strong willingness to learn our Applicant Tracking System (Taleo) and HRIS (ADP WorkForce Now).
- Solid knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of management and peers.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and frequently changing priorities.
- A high degree of responsibility and accountability, deadline-focused and interest in resolving matters in a timely fashion.
- Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize, while also producing quality deliverables in a team environment.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred (not required).
