Mainframe Developer
Locations: Chandler, AZ (3days onsite weekly)
Duration: 12 months likely to be extended to 24 months based on performance/need
Payrate: $60-70/hourly

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and IBMz/OS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing high-volume, mission-critical mainframe applications within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a scrum team - code changes will be assigned as you work through the agile development process


• Participate in stand-up calls and refinement calls


• Write, test, and debug code for mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL


• Provide ongoing support for mainframe applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise


• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches and updates to ensure stability


• Identify and address performance issues


• Refine and edit code


• Ensure that mainframe applications adhere to security standards and compliance requirements

Must Have:

• 5-10+ years of experience with Mainframe development


• 3-4 experience with CICS, COBOL, JCL on an IBMZOS Platform


• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment


• Enterprise level experience

Nice To Have:

• Modernization or migration experience


• Java or salesforce experience
