Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's growing data organization and contribute to a key program designed to establish a unified, accurate view of enterprise device data. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, technically skilled engineer who thrives on ownership, innovation, and driving measurable impact within a collaborative, fast-moving team. The successful candidate will combine deep technical acumen in modern data engineering tools and cloud ecosystems with a natural curiosity for leveraging AI-assisted development to enhance productivity and efficiency. This is a high-visibility project that requires accountability, strong communication, and the ability to work across technical and business teams, including offshore resources.



Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.

  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, and Python.

  • Proven experience in data modeling and building scalable pipelines in cloud environments (preferably Azure).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with offshore teams.

  • A passion for AI and automation - must be able to articulate personal projects or experimentation with AI tools or technologies.

  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted software development ("vibe coding").

  • Highly curious, resourceful, and self-driven with a track record of independent problem-solving and innovation.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions within Snowflake and Azure environments.

  • Aggregate and transform complex datasets from multiple sources

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.

  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and offshore engineering teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

  • Apply data modeling best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability.

  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development cycles and improve efficiency.

  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and process improvement initiatives to enhance the data engineering function.

  • Provide regular project status updates and proactively identify risks or blockers to leadership.

  • Contribute to team learning by sharing new tools, methods, and insights - this role expects you to not just execute but elevate the team's technical capability.
