What You'll Do
Your Experience:
Responsibilities
This role supports all SaaS Production and Development Cloud capacity engineering, forecasting and delivery for a shared collection of SaaS products and services globally. The position's core role is to translate capacity demand and business-critical strategies to drive optimizations in architecture and forecast as well as monitor actual delivery of cost improvements across SaaS on OCI deployments globally. You will do this by working with peer SaaS Capacity Engineers, a Run the Business Capacity operations team, as well as all SaaS commercial product pillars to understand dial in savings opportunities, efficiencies, automation and ultimately delivery of infrastructure cost reductions influencing multiple long range models and executive cost objectives relative to the SaaS product line.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

What You'll Do
- Cloud Cost Management and Analysis - You will use data science environments, console and automation to monitor cost and usage trends identifying opportunities for cost savings. You will leverage KPI's to trend these opportunities and drive strategic reactions horizontally across the SaaS product lines and with executive management.
- Cloud Cost Optimization - You will have a deep horizontal understanding of cloud capacity architecture topologies and their dependencies. You will focus this expertise on driving cloud cost engineering improvements in the services you engage with, translating base capacity "components" (block storage, AMD/Intel compute core, Database instances, networking stacks) into business run rate value. This role will be key in crafting detailed technical cloud cost models, development of strategies for cost optimization (resource right-sizing, reserved instance management, platform transition recommendations), and assurance top down that cloud infrastructure deployment plans are cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.
- Cloud Automation - You will have a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles, and will be eager to drive automation while simultaneously eliminating technical debt. The automation will support "Cost of Cloud" objectives, targeting reduction of technical deployment overlap, decommission efficiencies, and development of AI agentry and intelligence to spot cost defects or trends that are not optimal. These initiatives will be developed "up" to KPI's that will help guide run the business, and inform strategic shifts in products horizontally in SaaS.
- Cross-team collaboration - This role will engage with and present to a wide variety of audiences, ranging from individual contributors and teams to executive leadership. A comfort with this and an executive presence is required, as this is a senior role and a trusted advisor to numerous SaaS organizations.
Your Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with focus or experience in Finance or related field
- Deep knowledge of OCI cloud services, pricing models, and cost management tools
- Experience with cloud cost optimization, including the use of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and instance right-sizing.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and actionable manner.
- Ability to communicate complex cost information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in cloud financial management or cloud operations is a plus
- Significant experience with MS Excel, used for one off modeling and translation
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams..
- Strong meeting rigor: relationships are critical to this role and meeting with stakeholders to build relationships, glean and review data models, and gain insights is a regular requirement.
