Position Overview

A public-sector organization is seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Analyst to design and develop business intelligence dashboards supporting IT Business Operations. This role focuses on transforming complex operational data into actionable insights to support decision-making across multiple IT functional areas.

The IT Business Operations environment includes functions such as service management, data centers, telecommunications, networking, servers, cloud infrastructure, radio networks, identity management, and endpoint management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to deliver meaningful and actionable insights

  • Report & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with stakeholder requirements

  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical teams to understand reporting needs and deliver effective BI solutions

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize BI dashboards and reports for performance and usability

  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data models, sources, and processes

  • Quality Assurance: Validate data accuracy and ensure report reliability through testing and quality checks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or in a similar business intelligence role

  • Strong proficiency with Power BI, including DAX and Power Query

  • Experience with data integration, data modeling, and database management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik

  • Working knowledge of SQL and database querying languages

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies

  • Experience working with public-sector, government, or municipal datasets
