SFTP Specialist

Role: SFTP Specialist (Secure File Transfer Protocol)

Location: Houston, TX - onsite
Duration: 6-12 months

• The SFTP Specialist will assess, review, and recommend File transfer solutions through Globalscape SFTP and overall architecture to ensure adequacy of security controls and compliance with TIS.
• The primary responsibilities include design, deployment, integration, administration, and daily operations of SFTP System.
• Works closely with IT system administrators and application owners to support and enhance the File transfers internally and externally.
• Good to have hands on experience in SFTP Site migration from on prem to SAAS .Strong concept on scripting language will be added benefit.
• SFTP Globalscape application specialist would need to perform any or all the following tasks.
• Strong exposure for SFTP servers Architecture and Deployment understanding
• Operationally competent with Globalscape and able to translate technical issues to a business audience.
• Experience in interfacing with Architects, Cloud Administrators, Developers, and System Administrators to implement File transfer solutions.
• Experience in Implementation, configuration and administration of Globalscape EFT Solutions, and all relevant components.
• Experience on Globalscape EFT and Managed File Transfer (MFT) or any other Globalscape products.
• Good knowledge on the networking concepts and File transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP, FTPS, HTTPS).
• Experience on DMZ, RAM, and AWE CONFIGURATIONS for file transfers
• Good knowledge on resolving tickets and troubleshooting P1, P2 issues as per agreed SLAs without any breach.
• Hands-on on account creation, configuring even rules, connection profiles and key pair and issues related to other modules.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.? Excellent communication skills.
• Able to identify the classify problems, diagnose the root cause of tickets, and determine resolutions to related problems.
• Recommend solutions for incremental improvements to File transfer program.
• Knowledge of various configuration files within and associated with Globalscape EFT Solution.
• Ensure the availability of SFTP sites on 24x7 basis.
• Should be able handle Operational support team, responsible for Production and Operational support activities, monitoring, health checks and prepare operational activities documentation.
• Preparing Technical Documentation such as Standard operating procedures (SOP), Network Diagram, DC-DR drill plan.
• Must have experience in Users, groups access and MFA etc.
• Experience integrating SFTP solutions with multiple platforms including Windows, Unix, database platforms, applications, custom OS, network devices and security devices/solutions.
• Should have experience in carrying out version upgrades which include preparation of plan, setting up the infrastructure, carrying out version upgrade, testing and actual version roll out in production.
• Managing and generating the ARM data base reports and Dashboards
• Hands-on on High Availability (HA) servers and RAM agents where Globalscape application resides.
