Software Engineering Manager
Direct Hire / Full Time
Location: Portland, Oregon

Work schedule: Hybrid: 40% remote / 60% onsite
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000

Our client is a leader in the Healthcare product and technology production Industry. We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with agile methodologies to develop innovative strategies and enhance team effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader who enjoys performing hands-on technical duties and responsibilities.

Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers, guide architecture, direct code quality decisions, and foster a collaborative high-performance culture.
  • Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.
  • Support production deployments and post-release issue resolution to track project progress, risks, and dependencies, and report status to the VP of Engineering.
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to increase test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
What you will need to succeed:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Required: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years in management or technical leadership role.
  • Strong coding and system design with the ability to contribute to complex technical work.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development tools, frameworks, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience with C#, some Java, Azure, and passion for AI tools
