We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Specialist to join our team. As an Implementation Specialist for PowerScale, you will be responsible for implementing and configuring PowerScale solutions for our customers. If you have a strong understanding of PowerScale and its various components, we want to hear from you.

Job Summary:

As an Implementation Specialist for PowerScale, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and configuring PowerScale solutions to meet the needs of our customers. This includes understanding the PowerScale architecture, configuring nodes, and applying licenses to enable software modules. You will also be responsible for performing initial configuration tasks, upgrading and updating OneFS, and joining nodes to existing clusters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Describe Isilon nodes and their components
• Explain cluster management tools and their applications
• Identify internal and external networking components and their interactions with PowerScale
• Recommend upgrades for customers based on key needed features provided in new software releases
• Understand the Isilon Configuration Guide and EPS
  Apply license files to clusters to enable software modules
• Compare structured and unstructured data models and their applications
• Complete configuration tasks, including node configuration and cluster creation
• Discuss nodes workflow application, node model details, and adding new nodes to clusters
• Explain and utilize enhancements, features, and functionality in PowerScale OneFS 9.7.0.0 and 9.8.0.0, as well as the 16G platform
• Explain application of Isilon with Big data and its benefits
• Explain data management and security in Isilon and its components
• Explain Isilon Physical Architecture and its components
• Explain Isilon's OneFS operating system and its components
  Explain the benefits of using NVT and its applications
• Explain the difference between FDC and NVT and their applications
• Explain the purpose of using NVT and its security aspects
• Capture and analyze existing environments, design migration solutions, and perform associated tasks
• Join nodes to existing clusters and perform initial configuration tasks
  Perform OneFS upgrades and updates
• Prepare nodes for deployment
  Remove, reformat, and reimage nodes as needed
• Request license files for software modules
• Run NVT and provide results for analysis
• Understand new enhancements, features, and functionality in Dell PowerScale F910, F210, and F710 platforms

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of PowerScale architecture and its components
• Experience with Isilon nodes, cluster management tools, and networking components
• Ability to recommend upgrades and configure PowerScale solutions
• Knowledge of Isilon Configuration Guide and EPS
• Experience with license file application and software module enablement
• Ability to compare structured and unstructured data models
• Experience with node configuration, cluster creation, and node workflow application
• Strong understanding of PowerScale OneFS 9.7.0.0, 9.8.0.0, and 16G platform enhancements, features, and functionality
• Experience with Big data application and Isilon data management and security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to capture and analyze existing environments, design migration solutions, and perform associated tasks
• Experience with OneFS upgrades and updates
• Ability to prepare nodes for deployment and remove, reformat, and reimage nodes as needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Additional Notes: Drug Test required with Background Check Citizenship requirement - Must be authorized to work in the US

Must have skills:

• PowerScale Project Tasks Customer has had a large IT turnover and the majority of the team has minimal experience with PoweScale. The customer has a tech refresh scheduled the week of 9/8 in two locations (IN/KY). This outline the experience should have for this assignment:
• Assist with day to day operational activities/tasks
• General troubleshooting/optimization - ensure the customer understands how to manage these areas once residency is completed
• Monitors, reviews, and manage environment to identify areas of improvement following Dell EMC best practice
• Review user permission/access, provide areas of improvement/best practice recommendation KT to keep clusters healthy moving forward (code/firmware upgrades)
• Monitors, reviews, and manage environment
• Conduct knowledge transfer for new technology features, management and admin activities, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Review IT processes and policies (Incident, capacity, performance and change management as part of new solution)
• May need to create shares when needed
• Assist with cluster replication if needed
• Assist with how to set up policies to replicate if needed
• Share best practice methodologies throughout the residency assignment
• Resident is expected to be self-directed, able to accomplish tasks with little to no direction
