Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join a high-performing team that collaborates closely with internal analysts and stakeholders overseeing core operational platforms. This role involves a blend of responsibilities centered on enhancing, maintaining, and supporting critical business operations through data visualization tools like Tableau, as well as other relevant platforms. The individual in this position will take ownership of specific business functions while also cross-training on adjacent responsibilities to ensure comprehensive coverage and continuity within the team. This position requires an understanding of a broad range of business processes, acting as a support resource across multiple functions when needed. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with departments across the organization to support issue resolution, training, and the implementation of process improvements. This person will also lead or contribute to data-driven initiatives, applying a project-oriented lens to optimize tools, reporting, and operational workflows. They will play a leadership role in supporting and guiding Data Analysts by setting priorities, sharing best practices, and contributing to detail oriented development efforts. Key Responsibilities: Apply strategic thinking to assess problems from a high-level perspective and break them down into actionable components. Gather and manipulate data from a variety of internal systems; develop and run advanced queries for analysis, reporting, and decision-making support. Validate data integrity and resolve inconsistencies across reporting systems; recommend and implement solutions to correct identified issues. Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deadlines. Lead or participate in meetings with operational teams to turn proposed enhancements into real outcomes. Contribute to the design and evolution of procedures and tools that support organizational growth, keeping up with trends in technology and business operations. Translate data insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders and assist in operational project execution. Support internal users by troubleshooting issues related to data tools and reporting infrastructure developed by the team. Build scalable tools and data flows that increase process efficiency; work closely with subject matter experts to align deliverables with business needs. Produce clear documentation of processes and projects to ensure long-term usability. Guide and mentor entry level data professionals on prioritization, execution, and analytical best practices.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a related analytical or operational role. Proven ability to perform both qualitative assessments and quantitative data analysis. Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL-based querying. Hands-on experience using Tableau for reporting and visualization. Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience creating process manuals or user guides is desirable. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. Background in logistics or supply chain is advantageous but not required.
