Description
We are looking for a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will leverage your technical expertise to support our software engineering projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to apply their skills across various technologies.
Responsibilities:
Utilize GIS tools and methodologies to analyze and interpret spatial data for project development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain software systems.
Provide backend development support using languages such as C++ and ASP.NET.
Develop and integrate APIs to enhance system functionality and interoperability.
Implement agile methodologies, including Scrum frameworks, to ensure efficient project delivery.
Conduct bug tracking and resolution using Atlassian Jira to maintain software quality.
Apply AB testing strategies to optimize application performance and user experience.
Contribute to Android application development and ensure seamless functionality.
Utilize CSS for front-end design and development to create user-friendly interfaces.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or a related field.
0-5 years of experience in GIS analysis or software engineering with attention to detail.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and ASP.NET.
Strong understanding of API development and integration.
Experience with bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of Android development and CSS for front-end design.
Ability to work fully onsite in Houston, Texas.
