RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an FSOC Test Engineer in Jupiter, FL. All TEs are expected to participate in the following tasks. The breadth and depth of participation is determined by the individual's job level.
Duties:
* FSOC Test Engineer will design, build, and deploy scalable test solutions - hardware and software
* Collaborate with Engineering to identify and define product test requirements
* Coordinate design development, first article builds and qualification
* Write and review test procedures, specifications, checklists and trouble-shooting guide
* Provide training for test technicians and sustaining test engineers
* First line of escalation for test related issues during proto and pilot system builds
* As an FSOC Test Engineer, you will debug, troubleshoot test issues during proto and pilot system builds, coordinate and drive bug reviews, root cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive actions
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvements, cycle time reduction and process optimization for higher operations efficiency and thruput
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS in a technical field - Optics, EE
* 7+ years in technology field and product
* Design, Manufacturing, Process
* Product type - Semi-conductor Equipment, Medical Equipment, Telecommunication Equipment
* Tools - LabVIEW, MATLAB
Preferred:
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable:
* MS in Engineering
* Experience with Optical, Fiber-Optics, Laser, Electrical, Mechanical and Software systems
* Experience with interfacing and testing electronics, electro-optical assemblies, actuated optics, photonics, and fiber optics systems
* Experience with opto-electrical measurements using standard off-the-shelf instrumentation; Experience designing robust optical system test fixtures and optical analysis software suitable for high volume manufacturing
* Experience with hardware testing, system bring up, and design validation
* Experience working with OEM partners; Experience supporting FATP lines shipping high volume consumer products
* Experience in debug, troubleshooting and failure analysis investigation
* Proficient in optical test station development; Coding proficiency in C, Python and knowledge in a Unix/Linux environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
