We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient ServiceNow Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, particularly in the areas of Configuration Management Database (CMDB), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and Discovery. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience specifically as an Architect, designing and implementing large-scale, complex ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design & Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, available, and robust ServiceNow solutions across CMDB, ITOM, ITSM, and Discovery modules. Develop and maintain the overall technical architecture for the ServiceNow platform.
Platform Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for ServiceNow, providing technical guidance, best practices, and innovative solutions to business and technical teams.
CMDB and Discovery: Define and enforce CMDB data governance, modeling, and best practices. Architect and optimize ServiceNow Discovery processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date Configuration Item (CI) data.
ITOM and ITSM Integration: Design solutions that effectively integrate ITOM (e.g., Event Management, Operational Intelligence) with core ITSM processes (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change Management).
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions.
Technical Leadership: Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and performance requirements.
Platform Governance: Define and manage technical standards, guidelines, and procedures for the ServiceNow instance, including performance tuning, security hardening, and upgrade planning.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an Architect role focused on the ServiceNow platform.
Technical Proficiency: Deep and proven expertise in:
ServiceNow CMDB: Configuration Item modeling, data governance, and best practices.
ServiceNow Discovery: Setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Discovery process.
ServiceNow ITOM: Experience with modules like Event Management, Service Mapping, and Operational Intelligence.
ServiceNow ITSM: Comprehensive knowledge of core ITSM applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog).
Certifications: Current ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is highly desirable. Other relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Platform Development: Experience with ServiceNow development best practices, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), integrations (REST/SOAP), and platform customization.
