IT@JH Technology Innovation Center (TIC) is seeking an IT Sr. Project Administrator to be apart of the TIC design team. This position will coordinate web-based projects to support the TIC, as well as Enterprise, University and Medicine collaborative projects.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages temporary and ongoing web projects, specifically the Johns Hopkins Universal WordPress theme template.
  • Engages directly with clients (stakeholders and customers) in requirements gathering, support and in communicating new releases and patches.
  • Reports web project issues and communicating with clients and developers/designers to ensure resolution.
  • Oversees website redesigns, new website builds, market/competitor research, SEO and accessibility scans, site architecture builds and other TIC Design duties as assigned.
  • Leads QA testing of new features and major updates to website projects.

Specific Devices, Software, Projects

  • Uses web-based platforms and applications relevant to the Design Team, TIC and JH Research IT community, Jira, WordPress and other relevant CMS products and plugins. Device testing includes all manner of devices, browsers and operating systems.

Scale/size of Area, Project and/or System Supported

  • Supports projects that may span the entirety of the Johns Hopkins Enterprise. A significant part of this role is overseeing projects and communicating with customers related to the Universal WordPress Template, which currently hosts over 60 websites.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in information systems, business administration, management or project management.
  • Requires demonstrated 5 years IT Experience with 2 years of Project Administration.
  • Work experience may be substituted for degree where appropriate. Additional education and/or participation in large scale projects may be substituted for experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Has a strong design sense and/or has experience working with a design team.
  • Is familiar with the development process and/or has experience working with developers.
  • Has experience gathering requirements.
  • Is comfortable juggling multiple on-going projects.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards.
  • Experience with WordPress administrative interface.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
