Job Title: BMC Helix Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled BMC Helix Specialist with deep, hands-on experience supporting and configuring BMC Helix, including ITSM modules and Digital Workplace (DWP). This role will focus on troubleshooting Helix-specific issues, optimizing system functionality, and supporting multiple shared services groups including Finance, HR, Legal, and Settlement Services.
Experience with other BMC products (e.g., Remedy or Discovery) is not sufficient the customer requires someone with direct BMC Helix expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, configure, and maintain BMC Helix ITSM applications, workflows, and modules.
- Troubleshoot Helix-specific issues in partnership with internal technical teams and BMC Helix Support.
- Configure, customize, and improve BMC Digital Workplace (DWP) used across multiple shared services teams.
- Work with functional stakeholders in Finance, HR, Legal, and Settlement Services to understand service delivery needs and translate them into Helix configurations.
- Optimize service request catalogs, knowledge articles, workflows, and automations in DWP.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Support upgrades, patching, and environment changes as needed.
- Create documentation, configuration artifacts, and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Technical Skills
3 5+ years of hands-on BMC Helix experience (not Remedy, Smart IT, or Discovery alone).
Strong experience with:
- BMC Helix ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, CMDB, etc.)
- BMC Helix Digital Workplace (DWP) configuration and troubleshooting
- Workflow creation and modification within Helix
- Catalog items, service requests, and knowledge management
- Experience coordinating with BMC Helix Support to resolve complex platform issues.
- Understanding of integrations, APIs, and data flows within Helix.
- Ability to analyze and resolve Helix-specific functional and technical challenges.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting shared services functions (Finance, HR, Legal, or similar).
- Familiarity with multi-department service delivery models.
- Experience with SaaS environments and ITSM best practices.
- Exposure to automation tools or integration platforms (Control-M, MuleSoft, etc.) is a plus.
