Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. This role will play a key part in shaping security strategy, designing enterprise-class security solutions, and assisting with implementation across cloud and on-premises environments. The SrSecurity Engineer will collaborate with IT, architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure that security is embedded into technology initiatives from design through delivery.
Responsibilities:
Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define and refine enterprise security strategy aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a technical advisor and solution architect, designing security solutions across network, endpoint, cloud, identity, and application layers.
Assist in the implementation and integration of security technologies, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with security best practices.
Evaluate and recommend new security tools, platforms, and services to improve the organization's security posture.
Translate security requirements into technical designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure system and application deployments.
Provide expertise in incident response, threat modeling, and risk mitigation as needed.
Assist with developing and maintaining security standards, policies, and reference architecture.
Mentor junior security staff and contribute to a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
7+ years of experience in information security engineering, IT security, or related technical roles.
Proven experience in security solution design and architecture for enterprise-scale environments.
Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, PAM, cloud security platforms, DLP, and firewalls.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid identity environments (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD, on-prem AD).
Demonstrated experience assisting with technology implementation projects where security requirements were core to success.
Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, NYDFS, etc.).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in regulated industries (finance, insurance, or healthcare).
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GIAC (or equivalent).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any experience with deploying security products across enterprise environments, specifically with SailPoint, CyberArk, or Microsoft Purview is nice to have, as these are the products they are rolling out next. After product is implemented, it will be transitioned to operational teams post-deployment.
Working knowledge of NIST and MITRE expected.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
