The PeopleSoft Subject Matter Expert (SME) will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise PeopleSoft environment. This position requires a highly experienced professional who will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure PeopleSoft solutions align with business needs, operate efficiently, and support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise in PeopleSoft ERP modules, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for PeopleSoft modules (e.g., Financials, HCM, Campus Solutions), providing leadership on functional and technical design, configuration, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with business teams to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into system configurations, and recommend solutions that optimize PeopleSoft performance.
  • Lead and support PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and maintenance packs including impact analysis, testing coordination, and deployment planning.
  • Configure, test, and validate new functionality in PeopleSoft environments to support business process improvements and changes.
  • Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and high availability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including business process flows, functional specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between PeopleSoft and other systems; support reporting, interfaces, and data migrations.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to business users and internal teams as needed.
  • Participate in planning and executing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PeopleSoft functionality, automation, and user experience.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) with PeopleSoft ERP systems, including functional and/or technical expertise.
  • Strong understanding of key PeopleSoft modules such as Financials, HCM, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading PeopleSoft upgrades, patching, or enhancements in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in PeopleTools, Application Designer, and PeopleSoft configuration/setup tables.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong documentation, testing, and operational support experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in financial services or large enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools associated with PeopleSoft data extraction.
  • Prior exposure to cloud migration or hybrid ERP landscapes.
