Senior Merchandising Business Systems Analyst

Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Merchandising Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in retail merchandising to collaborate with our business stakeholders to improve processes and efficiency, implementing business solutions and providing post-implementation support. The ideal candidate is well-rounded with experience in implementing Merchandising business solutions and working with cross functional teams across the organization. This position requires outstanding communication and organizational skills, strong resolve and capable of meeting aggressive schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, digital merchandising, IT, and operations, to gather and document business requirements.

o Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable project plans.

o Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights into application capabilities and recommending optimal use cases.

  1. System Implementation & Optimization:

o Lead the implementation, configuration, and testing of applications.

o Optimize new product launch and item enrichment requirements to maximize efficiencies, minimize redundancies, and reduce tool friction.

o Ensure seamless integration within the merchandising ecosystem.

  1. Project Management & Delivery:

o Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

o Provide leadership during system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements.

o Deliver training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the solution.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

o Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience:

o 5 7 years of experience in merchandising

o Experience in item master, space and category management, assortment planning and/or pricing management preferred.

o Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting solutions in retail or e-commerce industries

o Ability to analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems and/or proven business processes.

o Define business rules and conditions for validations and dashboards.

o Interpret user needs and write functional specifications for new systems, systems changes, system enhancements and/or bug fixes.

o Create test metrics, test plans, identify regression tests and partners with QA for system, integration, and regression tests.

  • Technical Skills:

o Create and manage stories and epics in Jira.

o Proficiency in Lucid or Figma.

o Experience with product information systems.

  • Soft Skills:

o Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

o Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities.

o Strong project management capabilities, including agile methodologies.
