Role: Splunk Engineer on-site - Full-time

Locations: Plano, TX / Pennington, NJ / Charlotte, NC

Job description: 363461/ NR

Technical Skills:

  • 6 to 12+ years of experience
  • Technical Skills:
  • At least 6-8 years of experience with Splunk Enterprise.
  • Experience with creating dashboards, reports, alerts, saved searches, and automations as per user/stakeholder requirements.
  • Experience with configuring inputs and new connections with Splunk DB Connect.
  • Setup of new KVStores and building jobs to automate new data into them.
  • Experience with configuring and indexing data from Splunk Forwarders.
  • Experience in configuring Splunk settings (props.conf, inputs.conf, outputs.conf, transform.conf, server.conf, apps.conf, etc.).
  • Experience in writing custom Javascript and CSS to create dashboard UI as per user needs.
  • Knowledge and experience in writing SQL queries.
  • Field extractions using regular expressions.
  • Experience with using JIRA/Kanban to manage upcoming and ongoing work.
  • Experience with technical documentation (Confluence / Horizon preferred).
  • Experience working with SDLC for engaging testing and releases.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Assurance of regulatory compliance by using reporting and analytics tools built in Splunk Enterprise.
  • Designs and develops dashboards, reports, alerts, and feeds for CAP-related applications, services, machines, and software.
  • Develop, track, and release work through development life cycle; designing and conducting tests prior to production releases.
  • Design metric analytics for use within financial and banking industry concerning communication logging and telephony events.
  • Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities that lead to delivery; contribute to weekly team meetings and standups; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to Collaboration and Productivity environment.
