Data Engineer/Data Scientist

On site 3 days/week in Kennesaw, GA


Required Skills:
Review Intake Request and liaison with stakeholders to gather requirements, provides technical solutions and feedback.
Works with Product Owner to create and design work requirements.
Expertise with Jira and familiar with Safe/Agile development methodologies
Ensure that the design and engineering approach for complex data solutions is consistent across multiple flows and systems.
Collaborate amongst team members to assist with knowledge gaps and or provide instructional training when needed.
Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution without being afraid of challenging the status quo.
Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data architecture is feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately.
Define and build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data informed decision making within the business.
Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release
Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.

Desired Skills:

Ameila/IPSoft experience a plus
Experience with data modeling and relational databases
Experience in using tools such as SQL/SSIS/Hadoop/Oracle or Teradata
Familiar with Hive, HQL, Hadoop and Python
Experience with SQL stored procedures
Experience working with incident management backend datasets example ITSM, Maximo, or ServiceNow
Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and think critically to solve problems
Knowledge of bank processes is a plus
