The Display team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the development and validation across a variety of Apple products. Description As a Display Electrical Engineer, you will drive display module electrical design from concept phase, all the way through engineering builds, and into volume manufacturing. All duties will be performed in a multi-functional environment where you will need to collaborate effectively with all the other key teams, such as Optical, Mechanical, Silicon, System, Software, Product Design, as well as external vendors. Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities: - Determine component level requirements, develop schematic designs, and closely manage layout of highly constrained multilayer PCB to achieve functional & performance objectives - Support new display technology scoping and development - Create and execute plans to bring-up & validate designs for function and performance, with advanced lab equipment and automation - Analyze & feedback on mechanical and thermal and integration constraints impacting EE design - Manage & support module vendors & contract manufacturers, such as design implementation, bring-up, data review - Perform failure analysis on problems found in integration & manufacturing, feedback root cause and corrective action into design or process in preparation for high-volume - Communicate and present technology & status updates to management & cross-functional teams - Author clear and comprehensive documentation for design and manufacturing partners to complete design, test, and validation

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Circuit knowledge at IC or PCB level, (Power or Analog or Mixed-signal)
  • Experienced in IC or PCB layout
  • Experience in implementing designs from scratch and circuit simulation
  • Experience with lab equipment and test automation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced with high volume electronics from concept to mass production, including manufacturing support.
  • Familiar with common peripheral interface (e.g. LVDS, DisplayPort, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SWD, UART).
  • Experienced with mobile platform EE design and integration.
  • Experienced with digital logic, with one or more of the following: MCU, CPLD, FPGA.
  • Experienced with scripting language (e.g. Python, MATLAB) to assist hardware development and data analysis.
  • Knowledge on modern display technologies and experience in optical module development, such as LCD, TFT, OLED.
  • Strong sense of ownership & initiative & details, able to handle tasks comprehensively from start to finish with high standard.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, including presentation.
  • Experienced in working with oversea teams and vendors.
  • Ability to travel internationally for up to 10%.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
