Job Details
Seeking an experienced Network Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in IP Infusion (OcNOS) and whitebox networking platforms.
This engineer will play a key role in network optimization, performance tuning, and incident response, ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and optimize a large-scale Service Provider network built on IP Infusion OcNOS.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex network incidents impacting subscriber services.
Drive network performance improvements, including routing optimization, configuration tuning, and capacity analysis.
Collaborate with the Network Director and internal engineering teams to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
Monitor and analyze network health, using telemetry and performance tools to proactively identify risks or bottlenecks.
Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions for ongoing knowledge transfer.
Participate in on-call or escalation rotations as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a Service Provider or large-scale production environment.
Direct, hands-on experience with IP Infusion (OcNOS) must have installed, configured, and supported in production.
Strong understanding of whitebox hardware platforms (e.g., Edgecore, UfiSpace).
Deep knowledge of routing protocols and Service Provider technologies, including:
BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN, and Segment Routing.
Expertise in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis within carrier-grade environments.
Familiarity with network monitoring and performance tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar).
Strong Linux fundamentals and comfort working with disaggregated network operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in disaggregated networking or open network OS environments.
Knowledge of network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Netconf/YANG).
Excellent communication and documentation skills for collaboration with distributed teams.
