Description
Serve as a Router Team Operator for the 26th NOS. Oversee intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, boundary protection and vulnerability assessment operations to defend the Air Force Network (AFNet). Investigate and rectify malfunctions in network hardware and other systems to ensure service continuity. Meticulously monitor and manage all WAN circuits, ensuring optimal performance. Respond promptly to remote assistance requests from colleagues and service partners, providing expert technical support. Create and maintain comprehensive network support and implementation handover documentation for the Helpdesk. Manage assigned tasks and projects independently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines. Provide backup support to other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Undertake any other assignments or duties as directed by management, demonstrating adaptability and versatility. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multiple devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, and management systems. Understand and implement disaster recovery procedures. Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs Participate in the implementation of agreed upon solutions and strategies. Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources. Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems. Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects. Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
