QA Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll work on a mix of manual and automation testing, with a heavy focus on backend/API testing (not UI). You will start with manual testing in integration, shift to automation, and rotate as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible, self-driven, and enjoys deep problem-solving-especially in complex API environments.

Responsibilities:
* Perform both manual and automated testing at the backend/API level
* Own testing for active integration projects-identifying, debugging, and resolving issues
* Rotate between manual and automation testing as project needs shift
* Collaborate closely with development teams to isolate defects and improve quality
* Build and maintain automation scripts and frameworks as part of the larger QA process
* Track work and test results using JIRA

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6-10 years of QA experience (ideally no more than 10)
* Strong hands-on experience with manual API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
* Experienced in debugging complex API-related issues
* Familiar with BDD using Cucumber (preferred but not required)
* Proficient with automation frameworks such as WebdriverIO or Java/Selenium
* Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset
* Curious, proactive, and comfortable owning tasks and solving problems independently
* Able to thrive in a highly collaborative, team-focused environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
