Role: Financial Crime Technical / Solution Architect

Location: Alpharetta, GA (fully onsite)

Position Summary: The Technology Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of technology initiatives within the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) domain. This role ensures the seamless delivery of financial crime risk management (FCRM) solutions by managing technical teams, driving agile best practices, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in financial crime compliance technology, and expertise in managing cross-functional development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Delivery Oversight: Lead the end-to-end delivery of FCRM technology solutions, ensuring high-quality execution from planning to deployment.
  • Project & Program Management: Manage technical project timelines, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Agile Execution: Implement and refine Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) to enhance software development efficiency and ensure continuous delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, business analysts, and compliance teams to align technical execution with product strategy.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in solution delivery and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to provide clear updates on project progress and risks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to software development, system performance, and compliance adherence.
  • Technology Strategy Alignment: Ensure the adoption of modern technology stacks, cloud-based architectures, and best practices in FCC solution development.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Security: Work with compliance teams to ensure all technical solutions align with industry regulations (e.g., BSA, AMLD, OFAC, FATF, FinCEN).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, software development, or IT project management, with at least 3 years leading FCC-related technology initiatives.
  • Technical & Compliance Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of financial crime risk management, AML solutions, and transaction monitoring platforms.
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as BSA, AMLD, KYC, and sanctions compliance.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based FCC solutions and API-driven integrations.

Agile & DevOps Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, automation, and cloud deployment strategies.

Leadership & Communication Skills:

  • o Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • o Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze system challenges, propose innovative solutions, and drive technology advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: PMP, SAFe Agilist, AWS/Azure Cloud Certification, or relevant financial crime compliance certifications (e.g., ACAMS).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for deploying FCC solutions.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning technologies used in fraud detection and risk scoring.
  • Hands-on experience with API development, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience in Financial Institutions: Prior experience working in banking, fintech, or regulatory technology (RegTech) firms.
