Solution IT Inc. is looking for Business Analyst w/ Oil & Gas for one of its clients in Houston TX / Hybrid
- candidate needs to have a VALID US Passport and able to travel to Brazil twice a year)
Job Title: Business Analyst w/ Oil & Gas
Summary:
Project Development Support
- Work closely with functional directors, onshore SMEs, and offshore personnel to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise documentation for project teams and decision-makers.
Support initiatives from concept to approval, including:
- Business case development
- ROI analysis
- Solution research and vendor evaluation
- RFQ process and vendor selection support
- Preparing documentation for final project approvals
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure alignment of scope and expectations with leadership, including functional directors and project sponsors.
- Business Process Analysis
- Analyze and map existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Design future-state processes with a focus on leveraging technology for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements and monitor outcomes.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with Drilling Contractor experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success supporting business initiatives from ideation to execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct ROI analysis and build compelling business cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups - from offshore field staff to executive leadership.
- Proficient in documenting detailed business and functional requirements, workflows, and use cases.
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, vendor selection, and project justification.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to ERP systems, digital transformation projects, or operations support platforms.
- Business Process Modeling (BPMN or equivalent) experience.
- Understanding of IT project lifecycle and change management principles.
