TITLE: Data/Information Architect - Consultant

CONTRACT: 36+ Months

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will have access to the Client virtual applications server to perform installation updates, data migration, support, problem diagnostics & resolution, patches, and navigating administration functions for the latest releases of p6 (client or web) applications.

Must be able to provide support and guidance to users, SCDOT IT systems staff, SCDOT engineering staff and work with the vendor as needed for application issues, database issues, maintenance, installations, and upgrades. Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact. Assist more experienced system development/support personnel in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems.

Will provide training and mentoring for existing or new users as needed on how to use new software features or updates by phone support, virtual training, or classroom training.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

  • Experience in design and development of Primavera P6
  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 architecture
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting Oracle and SQL databases, analysis, and correction of errors to maximize availability and uptime
  • Experience with Java, Oracle, SQL queries, and stored procedures
  • Up-to-date knowledge of related infrastructure components and/or operating environment
  • Strong knowledge in different kinds of database, system integrations
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

  • Strong analytical, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues
  • Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing, and delivery
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time,e as well as being a collaborative team member

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Computer information systems or B.S. Computer science or B.S. Computer engineering or equivalent training required
