The Opportunity:

As a data scientist spe cia lizing in agentic AI, you're passionate about building autonomous systems that can reason, plan, and act independently to solve complex intelligence challenges. You understand how foundation models and agent frameworks can transform static analytics into dynamic, self-directed intelligence operations. We need an Agentic AI Spe cia list like you to develop solutions that will revolutionize how intelligence systems autonomously collect, correlate, and analyze multi-domain data without human intervention.

On our team, you'll design and implement intelligent agents that can autonomously task sensors, orchestrate data collection campaigns, and perform cross-domain intelligence fusion. You'll apply cutting-edge AI techniques, including large language models, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to build agents that can reason about incomplete information and adapt to evolving intelligence requirements. Using AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and custom frameworks, you'll create autonomous systems that enable your team to deliver self-improving intelligence capabilities that can operate at machine speed while maintaining human-level analytical reasoning.

In this role, you'll directly impact national security by building the foundational AI agents that will enable fully autonomous intelligence operations and rapid threat detection. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in emerging agentic AI technologies and multi-modal reasoning systems while contributing to solutions that will transform intelligence collection and analysis from reactive to predictive and autonomous.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience developing machine learning models and AI systems
• Experience with foundation model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock
• Experience using Model Context Protocol ( MCP )
• Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker and MLflow and modern sof tware development practices
• Knowledge of large language models and agent frameworks
• Knowledge of Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Ability to design and implement multi-agent systems, autonomous reasoning pipelines, and tool-calling capabilities for AI agents
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree in a Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning field

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with reinforcement learning, multi-modal AI systems, and complex reasoning frameworks such as ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, or planning algorithms
• Experience in agentic AI, autonomous systems, or large-scale multi-agent coordination
• Knowledge of intelligence analysis workflows, sensor data processing, and multi-INT data fusion techniques
• Ability to develop explainable AI systems and implement safety measures for autonomous decision-making in high-stakes environments
• Ability to show personal publications related to agentic AI, autonomous systems, or large-scale multi-agent coordination
• Secret clearance
• Doctorate degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on autonomous systems or multi-agent research

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
