POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Workstream Lead - Sales Cloud
Location: Hybrid in Durham, NC



JOB SUMMARY:
A global enterprise is undergoing a significant transformation initiative to replace multiple legacy CRM systems and associated processes with a unified SAP Sales Cloud platform and standardized business workflows. The SAP Sales Cloud Workstream Lead will be part of the IT Business Applications team, playing a key role in implementing lead-to-cash, customer service, sales forecasting, and budgeting processes within SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA Public Cloud.

This position involves close collaboration with the SAP implementation partner and stakeholders across sales, service, and finance departments to plan, execute, and support the SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA rollout. Post-implementation, the role ensures users are well-trained, efficient, and compliant with standardized processes and best practices.

This high-impact role supports global scalability and growth by working with cross-functional teams across all company locations to understand current business operations and facilitate the transition to harmonized systems and processes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Acumen: Gain a deep understanding of the organization’s sales and service operations.
  • Project Planning: Partner with implementation teams and business users during discovery, preparation, and exploration phases to review deliverables, participate in workshops, validate processes, resolve gaps, and finalize scope.
  • System Implementation: Support system configuration, data migration, environment deployment (dev/test/prod), testing, user training, and go-live activities.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide ongoing support for SAP Sales Cloud users, conduct process health checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adoption of standardized workflows and system benefits.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current sales processes and identify opportunities for optimization using SAP Sales Cloud, S/4HANA, and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Lead-to-Cash Alignment: Collaborate with sales and service teams to maintain alignment with SAP systems and promote adherence to best practices.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, service, and finance operations within a multinational environment
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing CRM and lead-to-cash processes in SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA (Public Cloud edition)
  • Experience with customer service portals and their integration with SAP Sales Cloud
  • Proven expertise in SAP Sales Cloud configuration and implementation
  • Experience supporting users in process improvement and operational management using SAP
  • Strong understanding of sales and service-related business processes

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • S/4HANA Certification
  • Multilingual fluency (German, Portuguese, Norwegian, or others)
  • Background in metal or chemical manufacturing industries
  • Comfortable working with distributed, multicultural, and multilingual teams
  • Self-driven and adaptable in dynamic environments
  • Capable of mentoring and coaching team members
  • Strong relationship-building, facilitation, project management, and problem-solving abilities
