POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Workstream Lead - Sales Cloud
Location: Hybrid in Durham, NC


JOB SUMMARY

A global enterprise is undertaking a significant transformation initiative to replace multiple legacy CRM systems and associated processes with a unified SAP Sales Cloud platform and standardized business workflows. The SAP Sales Cloud Workstream Lead will be part of the IT Business Applications team, playing a key role in implementing lead-to-cash, sales forecasting, and budgeting processes within SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA Public Cloud.

This position involves close collaboration with the SAP implementation partner and stakeholders across sales, service, and finance functions to plan, execute, and support the deployment. Post-implementation, the role ensures users are well-trained, efficient, and compliant with standardized procedures and best practices in SAP Sales Cloud.

The role is instrumental in supporting the organization’s scalability and growth by working with global teams across various locations to understand current operations and facilitate the transition to harmonized processes using SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learning: Gain a deep understanding of the organization’s sales and service operations.
  • Planning: Collaborate with partners and users during discovery, preparation, and exploration phases to review deliverables, participate in workshops, validate processes, resolve gaps, and finalize scope.
  • Implementation: Support system configuration, data migration, environment deployment (dev/test/prod), testing, user training, and go-live activities.
  • Support & Monitoring: Provide post-launch support, conduct process health checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adoption of standardized workflows and system benefits.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze sales processes to identify improvement opportunities leveraging SAP Sales Cloud, S/4HANA, and AI capabilities.
  • Lead-to-Cash Alignment: Partner with sales and service teams to maintain alignment with SAP systems and promote adherence to best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, service, and finance operations within a multinational organization
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing CRM and lead-to-cash processes in SAP Sales Cloud and S/4HANA (preferably Public Cloud editions)
  • Proven expertise in configuring and deploying SAP Sales Cloud
  • Strong understanding of sales and service-related business processes

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certification in S/4HANA
  • Multilingual fluency (German, Portuguese, or other languages is a plus)
  • Experience in the metal manufacturing sector
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse, distributed, and multilingual teams
  • Self-driven and adaptable in dynamic environments
  • Skilled in mentoring and coaching

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

International and domestic travel is expected at approximately 10%.
