Job Details

Position:- PostgreSQL DBA Consultant

Location:- New York City, NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Duration:- 12+ months Contract

W2 only

Local only

Job Description:-

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience as a DBA with at least 3 5 years specializing in PostgreSQL (recent)
  • Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals
  • Experience working in high-throughput, low-latency environments (financial services a plus)
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL replication (streaming, logical, etc.), partitioning, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with Linux (preferably RHEL or Ubuntu) and shell scripting
  • Experience with cloud-hosted PostgreSQL (AWS RDS/Aurora, Google Cloud Platform Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL) is a plus
  • Knowledge of database security practices, auditing, and compliance (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
