Job Opening: IT Specialist System Support
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Contract: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $45 $50/hr
Industry: Pharmaceutical
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirements and support the implementation of IT solutions based on business needs
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Configure, install, and maintain IT equipment and systems for optimal performance
- Collaborate with users and IT teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining thorough ticket documentation
- Handle day-to-day IT support including service requests, IT procurement, and site equipment maintenance
- Provide 1st-level support for network, server, and telecom infrastructure
- Coordinate with local vendors for services like network cabling, copier support, and eWaste collection
- Support site-specific applications and general IT operations
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergencies and special projects
What You Bring
- Education: Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ (preferred); Microsoft MCP or MCSE (a plus)
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in a hands-on IT support role
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and standard IT service practices
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve technical issues under pressure
- Comfortable adapting to evolving technologies and processes
