Job Title: Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid Onsite 3 days/week)

Overview:

Were seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-impact team supporting a global pharmaceutical organization. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can architect, build, and guide solutions across modern infrastructure and development stacks, with a keen eye on innovation and AI enablement.



The ideal candidate is a full stack engineer with a strong foundation in cloud architecture, application development, and emerging technologies like Generative AI. Youll play a key role in both strategic planning and technical executionhelping to shape infrastructure that supports scientific discovery and healthcare solutions.



Key Responsibilities:



Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring best practices around security, availability, and performance

Lead end-to-end architecture discussions for infrastructure and platform design

Collaborate with software engineering teams to support full stack application development using Python and React

Spearhead POCs and pilot programs focused on Generative AI technologies

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to ensure high-quality delivery

Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native services

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align infrastructure with broader digital transformation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience:



Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer (Python, React)

Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and services

Previous experience in an Architect roledesigning and scaling enterprise-grade solutions

Hands-on experience or strong exposure to Generative AI (e.g., leading or contributing to POCs)

Familiarity with modern DevOps tooling and practices (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead discussions across technical and non-technical teams
