Leidos is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support proposals and pursuit teams in an Agile environment. In this role, you will guide Agile teams to collaborate effectively, remove obstacles, and stay aligned with business goals.
You will play a crucial role in building repeatable processes for proposals, ensuring teams work efficiently across Leidos to meet critical deadlines. Additionally, you will support multiple teams preparing and submitting proposals for large government contracts, helping them forecast workloads, manage resources, and track key performance metrics to stay organized and productive.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

You will play a crucial role in building repeatable processes for proposals, ensuring teams work efficiently across Leidos to meet critical deadlines. Additionally, you will support multiple teams preparing and submitting proposals for large government contracts, helping them forecast workloads, manage resources, and track key performance metrics to stay organized and productive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile teams using Scrum methodologies to meet proposal deadlines and improve team performance.
- Assist teams in writing and organizing work into clear tasks, including epics, features, and user stories.
- Identify and remove blockers, ensuring teams remain focused on their objectives.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives to maintain momentum and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to align teams with the proposal vision and next steps.
- Track team progress and report performance using Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools.
- Develop and implement standardized processes to improve proposal development efficiency.
- Provide guidance on Agile best practices to ensure consistency and high performance across teams.
- Support the FEDSIM Center of Excellence by enhancing proposal-building methodologies and delivery strategies.
- Support up to three bids concurrently
Required Qualifications
- Supported FEDSIM Opportunities as SCRUM Master.
- Knowledgeable using Jira applied to SCRUMs/Sprints
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience in a related field ) and 12+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, leading multiple Agile teams.
- 3+ years of direct experience applying Agile methodologies on delivery teams.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Experience with backlog grooming, user story creation, and task planning.
- Proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Comfortable with presenting to senior leadership and engaging stakeholders.
- Experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
- Coaching and mentoring experience, guiding teams in Agile best practices.
- U.S. Citizenship, with eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting capture or proposal teams in an Agile environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple Agile teams within large organizations.
- Familiarity with legacy IT systems and their integration into modern frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise architecture and strategic planning.
- Additional certifications, such as:
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
