Job Details
We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Level 4) to design, build, and deploy a secure, scalable Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution in AWS GovCloud or other high-compliance cloud regions. This role requires deep expertise in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform. The ideal candidate will be capable of operating independently while closely collaborating with Security and Compliance teams to ensure production-ready, compliant cloud environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Senior-level (Level 4) experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
- Expertise with Terraform for building, managing, and scaling cloud environments.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Proven track record in delivering secure, production-grade systems in cloud environments.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud deployments.
- Familiarity with Pulumi infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
- Experience implementing VDI solutions in regulated industries (government, defense, healthcare, or finance).
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, or DFARS.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize secure, high-performing VDI environments in AWS GovCloud or similar regulated cloud regions.
- Develop and maintain IaC templates using Terraform (Pulumi experience a plus) for scalable and repeatable deployments.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and compliance across all cloud infrastructure and VDI implementations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, IT, and Compliance teams to align architecture with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Document architecture, processes, and configurations, providing knowledge transfer to internal teams for ongoing maintenance and scalability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
