Security Engineering Manager (Hybrid)

We are seeking a hands-on  Cyber Security Engineering Manager to lead and grow our enterprise cybersecurity capabilities. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight, focusing on designing secure systems, strengthening operational defenses, and guiding a skilled security team.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a technical security team, setting goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.

  • Define and maintain enterprise security architecture for cloud and on-prem systems, ensuring secure-by-design principles.

  • Oversee integration and optimization of security tooling, including IAM, SIEM/SOAR, endpoint protection, DLP, and cloud security platforms.

  • Develop and enforce identity and access management processes, including RBAC, MFA, privileged access, and lifecycle automation.

  • Direct security operations, incident detection, and response activities, including forensics, penetration testing, and threat investigations.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and data teams to embed security controls in enterprise processes.

  • Support governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, aligning technical controls with industry frameworks and regulations.

  • Communicate security risks and program status to executives and stakeholders, translating technical details into business impact.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 4 years managing technical security teams.

  • Hands-on expertise in security architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, M365), and enterprise security operations.

  • Deep knowledge across multiple security domains: IAM, vulnerability management, incident response, SIEM, or network security.

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise security in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and manage third-party SOC or MDR providers.

  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft security ecosystems, Sentinel, Defender, Intune, and vulnerability management tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence technical teams and executives.

  • Nice to have: advanced degree in cybersecurity, CISSP/CISM, cloud security certifications, familiarity with Zero Trust and OT security principles.
