As a cleared SIPR Network and System Administrator and a member of the Corporate Risk Management Framework (RMF) Support Center, you will be challenged to stay current with the latest technological developments in IT and Cybersecurity. You will be exposed to advanced technologies, and will play a major role in identifying potential vulnerabilities and intrusions on Information Technology (IT) systems by our adversaries. Together, we'll address evolving threats to national security, thus keeping our nation and our warfighter safe.
In this role you will perform network and system administration duties for US Government accredited on-prem systems and networks including high side, standalone systems, custom-developed business applications, and peripherals. This position is highly focused on administering and hardening (STIGs) networks, with an additional requirement for expansive knowledge and technical skills to administer and harden servers, databases, and other system components and test equipment. This position is a full-time, hybrid opportunity which entails face-to-face interactions with various cross-functional teams and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
Help design, configure, and tune US Government accredited on-prem connected and standalone, high and low, information systems and network connections (LAN and WAN) to ensure high levels of availability and Security.
Configure and troubleshoot network components (to include encryption devices, firewalls, routers, and switches) to ensure high network availability and confidentiality. Monitor and test network performance, apply security controls, and provide statistics and reports on network performance and vulnerability management.
Install, configure, monitor, and help maintain physical (ESXi) and virtual servers (Windows and RHEL), printers, scanners and custom developed applications. Install patches and upgrades to server hardware, firmware, and/or software.
Provide support using multi-tiered troubleshooting techniques to address moderately complex problem analysis and resolution for systems and applications on accredited information systems.
Perform internal Security audits and support external US Government audits on accredited information systems.
Regularly analyze the compliance and performance of networks and associated components, servers, databases, applications, and various information systems and components against baseline configurations.
Use critical analysis and develop solutions to optimize system/component performance, while ensuring compliance to company, DCSA, and best practice standards.
Contribute to the RMF artifacts, policies, processes, and procedures necessary to obtain and maintain US Government accreditation for the information systems.
Perform support tasks as needed to the Corporate Security Team, including the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO), and/or the Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or 5+ years equivalent work experience
At least one (1) year of directly related hands-on experience in systems and/or network administration
Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in the phases of installation, configuration, server administration, and maintenance of IT and business systems
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management, auditors, other IT professionals, and end-users
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Open and responsive to change and demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement by identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers
Active DOD Security Clearance Required, with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility throughout employment
