Preconstruction Manager, Project Manager, Estimator,
Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical
Position Overview
We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the preconstruction phase of mechanical projects, ensuring that all aspects of design, budgeting, and scheduling are effectively managed to meet project goals. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction process for mechanical projects, focusing on MEP and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather and analyze project requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates and budgets for mechanical components of projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of preconstruction tasks.
- Review and assess subcontractor proposals and provide recommendations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project execution.
- Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical construction, with a focus on MEP and HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, principles, and practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in estimating software and project management tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
