Principal Engineer, Modern Workplace Technologies

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer,
Modern Workplace Technologies to drive innovation, strategy, and
execution in delivering a seamless digital workplace experience. This
role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing modern
endpoint computing, collaboration tools, and enterprise productivity
solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in virtual
desktop infrastructure (VDI), endpoint management, identity and
security, and cloud-based workplace solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture: Define and implement the vision
and roadmap for modern workplace technologies, including endpoint
management, virtual desktops, collaboration tools, and cloud-based
solutions.
End-User Computing (EUC): Lead the architecture and deployment of
solutions like Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Azure Virtual
Desktop (AVD), and Citrix to enhance remote and hybrid work experiences.
Collaboration & Productivity Tools: Optimize and enhance platforms such
as Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Zoom, and other
workplace collaboration solutions.
Security & Compliance: Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure
workplace technologies meet security, compliance, and governance
standards. Automation & Innovation: Drive automation in endpoint
management, software deployment, and operational workflows using
PowerShell, APIs, and AI-driven tools. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with external vendors, business technology teams, and
cross-functional IT groups to ensure solutions align with business
needs.
Incident & Problem Management: Act as an escalation point for complex
technical issues, providing guidance and resolution strategies to
support teams.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the user
experience through analytics, telemetry, and proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 5
years in a senior or principal engineering role focusing on modern
workplace technologies.
Technical Expertise:
o Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows 11, and Mac endpoint
management. VDI solutions such as Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD),
and VMware Horizon.
o
Enterprise collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Zoom).
o Security frameworks (Zero Trust, MFA, Conditional Access, Defender for
Endpoint).
Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, APIs).
Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop
Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, Citrix CCP-V, or
related credentials.
