Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Database Administrator (DBA) to provide database support and administration services. The role involves ensuring the high availability, performance, and integrity of critical enterprise databases. This position also requires participation in an on-call rotation to support off-hour requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience supporting Linux or Unix System Administration (a bonus).

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.

  • Familiarity with SQL Server environments.

  • Ability to provide support during normal business hours and some off-hour support as needed.

Support During Core Business Hours:

  • Expected to provide database administration and support during standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • Responsible for ensuring database uptime, performance tuning, backups, and addressing any database-related issues during these hours.

Support Outside Core Business Hours (On-Call Rotation):

  • Participation in a 7-day on-call rotation for at least two weeks per month.

  • The rotation starts on Saturday and ends the following Friday, alternating typically every other week with the primary DBA.

  • During on-call duty, availability to respond to incidents outside business hours is required.

  • Compensation is provided for being on-call and for actual hours worked if called upon.

    • On-call standby compensation includes:

      • 1 hour per day (Monday-Friday).

      • 2.5 hours per day (Saturday, Sunday, and State Holidays).

    • Additional compensation applies for hours worked during incidents, rounded up in one-hour increments.

  • During on-call periods, the DBA must:

    • Respond to calls or emails within 30 minutes.

    • Remain free from the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

    • Be accessible and ready to provide immediate support for the duration of the on-call assignment.
