Key Required Skills:
RHEL Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x/8.x Platform Admin, installation, configuration, server patching, upgrading, provisioning, performance tuning, and problem resolution. RHEL Ansible Playbook Development. Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting

Position Description:
Support the database team with Linux expertise in performance issues, problem diagnosis, patching, upgrading, provisioning, and process improvement

• Provide guidance/support to other junior/mid-level resources
• Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

Skills Requirements:
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• 7 years of experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x Platform Administration (administration, installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery)
• 7 years of experience with performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving memory, CPU, access, networking, disk I/O, etc.
• 5 years of experience working Virtual Platforms
• 5 years of experience working with Ansible Playbooks (creating, developing, updating, and executing)
• 3 years of experience with scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments (e.g., Bash Shell and Python)
• Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong experience in AWS
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

• Solid experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator
• Excellent knowledge and experience with RHEL applications and tools Ansible, Satellite, RHEVM, etc.
• Experience in providing support for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of middleware applications.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years experience
