Duration: 12+ Months Contract to Hire

Position Overview

At the forefront of technological innovation, we are in search of a highly skilled QA Engineer with a proven track record in agile development environments. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience with tools like Cucumber and Playwright, demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript, and possess at least 7 years of relevant professional experience. A deep understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and an unwavering commitment to detail are pivotal for excelling in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend product specifications and user narratives.
  • Craft BDD-style test scenarios and step definitions using Cucumber.
  • Develop and implement automated tests with Cucumber-Playwright to ensure comprehensive test coverage for web applications.
  • Detect, isolate, and meticulously document bugs, providing clear steps for reproduction.
  • Engage closely with the development team to prioritize and rectify issues, guaranteeing the prompt delivery of superior software.
  • Contribute actively to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, offering critical QA insights.
  • Advance testing processes and strategies to heighten efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in QA methodologies.


Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a QA Engineer within agile frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for test automation and scripting tasks.
  • Extensive experience with Cucumber for developing BDD test scenarios and step definitions.
  • Hands-on expertise with Playwright or comparable automation frameworks for web application testing.
  • Solid grasp of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity for effective teamwork.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage concurrent priorities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with additional automation and performance tools/frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Gatling, or JMeter.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
