Job Description: Desktop Engineer
This role is responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and ongoing support of MECM and Intune across enterprise. The position involves GPO administration, application packaging, vulnerability management, and advanced desktop engineering to deliver secure and high quality end user computing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise wide solutions using MECM/SCCM and Intune for device provisioning, software distribution, patch management, and OS imaging.
Administer, update, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects and contribute to AD/domain and Windows security configuration.
Package, test, validate, and deploy applications using industry standards and ensure compatibility with target environments.
Automate compliance and configuration requirements through scripting for vulnerability mitigation.
Provide L3 technical support for desktop engineering issues, incident resolution, and application deployment.
Collaborate with IT security teams to integrate vulnerability management processes, including automated patching, reporting, and remediation.
Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, configurations, and deployments as part of team knowledge base and compliance auditing.

Required Skills & Qualifications
In-depth experience with MECM/SCCM, Intune, Modern Workplace, and related endpoint management technologies.
Proficiency in GPO, Active Directory and Azure AD.
Proven knowledge in application packaging and software deployment in enterprise environments.
Hands-on vulnerability management, including patch compliance, configuration auditing, reporting, and remediation using automation tools.
Good scripting skills (PowerShell preferred) for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
Effective communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills, able to work in matrixed and Onsite delivery environments.
