Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot Production systems, optimizing performance and ensuring stability of the DataStage environment.

  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, providing timely root cause analysis and preventive measures.

  • Understand the IIS (Information Integration Services) architecture and its interfaces to contribute to design, development, testing, and support.

  • Participate in business and technical meetings to ensure alignment between business requirements and platform solutions.

  • Monitor platform health, ensuring no impact to business operations.

  • Support password changes, environment setup, and connection configurations during upgrades or new deployments.

  • Perform impact analysis for outages, upgrades, and environmental changes.

  • Provide platform support for DataStage projects and related UNIX/database activities.

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for new business requirements and system enhancements.

  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system documentation.

  • Conduct design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to development and testing standards.

  • Drive performance tuning and optimization initiatives across systems and applications.

  • Develop dashboards, performance metrics, and monitoring tools as required.

  • Support Go-Live activities, ensuring smooth deployment and release management.

  • Perform code deployments, configuration management, and DevSecOps activities.

  • Identify and recommend continuous service improvements to enhance platform stability, maintainability, and security.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in IBM Infosphere DataStage Administration (experience with Grid environment preferred).

  • Proven experience administering and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Data.

  • Working knowledge of RedHat OpenShift or Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.

  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with GitLab, Terraform, and DevSecOps toolchains.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

  • Experience in data platform migrations or modernization initiatives.

  • Understanding of security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
