Job Description:
  • The Business Clientligence Analyst will contribute as part of a team responsible for delivering business intelligence capabilities to support internal and external department stakeholders.
  • The role includes gathering and documenting requirements, developing insights using tools such as Power BI, and presenting actionable information products to support policy and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to team efforts delivering business intelligence solutions.
  • Analyze data and prepare meaningful insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver work products using education, post-secondary education, apprenticeship, finance, and census data.
  • Work with BI technologies such as SAP and Power BI.
  • Work effectively within a mixed team of in-house and contract staff.
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements.
  • XXgn and construct reports, dashboards, and queries.
  • Capture business and technical metadata for deliverables.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data inquiries and geneXX insights.
  • Define and perform quality assurance for BI deliverables.
  • Perform data analysis, audits, statistical analysis, and data mining.
  • Escalate issues and risks as appropriate.
  • Work within a multi-vendor/staff environment.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience articulating and translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • 4+ years of experience presenting data through reports, dashboards, and queries.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing advanced Power BI solutions for complex datasets.
  • 4+ years of experience conducting and analyzing co-design workshops with service users.
Should Have:
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, business, or related field (minimum 2-year diploma).
  • Ability to collaboXX and work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with professional interaction across diverse groups.
  • Critical thinking ability in selecting modeling methods, input data, and variables.
  • 2+ years of experience with public sector procurement processes.
  • 4+ years of experience with Power BI, PowerView, Microsoft SQL Reporting, and Analytical Services.
  • 2+ years of experience working with large government datasets.
Qualification And Education:
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science or related field.
  • Additional relevant training includes Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Security/Cybersecurity, Information Candidateagement, and Respect in the Workplace (mandatory upon hiring).
