Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee the Systems and Software Engineering department activities supporting the US Navy's Space Signal Landing System (SSLS) providing precision approach and landing guidance to aircraft business under Mission Systems / Precision Navigation Systems. The Systems & Software Engineering Manager will be involved in all phases of the product life, including proposal preparation, brainstorming sessions, design, supplier support, manufacturing support, non-conforming material analysis, qualification testing, failure investigations, and sustaining activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for the technical performance of personnel in a team of about 10-15 engineers.

What You Will Do
Lead and manage the systems and software engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to the team members
Ensure systems requirements, integration and test activities for the SSLS products alignment with program needs and objectives
Ensure software development and sustainment activities are aligned with program needs and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, test engineering, whole life engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing and operations
Ensure tools and methodologies comply with industry and company standards for best practices regarding requirements management, software development, system and software integration and test
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in systems engineering and requirements management
Support Pursuit & Order capture activities including bidding & estimation efforts for new programs

Qualifications You Must Have
Experience with precise and resilient Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation systems, aircraft precision approach and landing, and 2-way UHF datalinks
Strong experience with Engineering management in a matrix organization
Experience communicating orally and in writing with various Engineering organizations, groups and customer and company leadership organizations
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with the SSLS Products and subsystems, knowledge of DO-178C and the certification process
Experience with front-line leadership, supervision, hiring, employee performance reviews and career development
Experience with RTX and Collins Aerospace policies, practices and procedures
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and champions MSBE best practices

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
